How to play Roulette ?
Roulette tables normally have place for six to eight players, each player has a different colored chips to make it easy for the dealer to track the bets. Playing Roulette is really easy you pick a number or field and place your bet on it, the dealer then spins the roulette wheel and places a ball inside the wheel and as the wheel stops the ball lands on a number and if the ball lands on your number or the field containing your number you win.

There are two types of roulette tables. The American Roulette table that has 38 numbers including zero and double zero. And then there is the French or European roulette table has 37 numbers (missing the double zero).

The wheel
The numbers on the wheel does not appear to be organized they seem to be distributed pretty much randomly. The only obvious patterns are that red and black numbers alternate and that usually two odd numbers alternate with two even numbers. However the distribution of numbers was carefully arranged so that the sum of the numbers for any given section of the wheel would be roughly equal to any other section of equal size. Most numbers are part of a pair, with one number between them. These pairs add to either 37 or 39.

En prison rule: This is an even money bet (Red, Black, Odd, Even, 1–18, 19–36) that results in a spin of 0 becomes imprisoned. If this imprisoned bet wins on the next spin, the original bet is released and returned to the player. Used mostly on European Roulette tables.

En prison surrender rule: Also an even money bet, player will only lose half of his bet on a spin of 0 or 00. Used mostly on 00 Roulette wheels in Atlantic City.
